The Extra 2% Club offers high-quality, fundamental skill-based training for girls currently in grades 3-6 in Springboro. Each session will last for 63 minutes; during our time the athletes will get multiple repetitions in the following areas: ball handling, dribbling, passing, catching, shooting, footwork, scoring off the pass, scoring off the dribble, post play, guard play, wing play, proper shooting form, defensive stance/slides, transition, screening, free throw shooting and others. Athletes will also learn about the core values of our program-- Grit, Energy, Toughness, Unified, Prepared "GET-UP"--and they will be given the chance to apply them during our sessions. The last 15 minutes will be used for 1 on 1, 2 on 2, and 3 on 3. Our staff will consist of current High School players, Junior High coaches, and High School coaches.

For: Boys entering 3rd - 6th grade in Fall of 2025. Some entering 3rd graders attend both Fundamentals Camp and Jr. Dribblers.

The Fundamental Camp is designed to provide campers with the opportunity to work on their skills in a variety of ways. We will also have daily competitions that may include: knockout, free throws, hot shots, 1 vs. 1, 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3 and 5 vs. 5 games.

Campers will receive a camp T-shirt.

Bring a water bottle/drink.

Camp will be conducted by Head Boys’ Basketball Coach Brian Bales and the boys’ basketball staff

2025 SPRINGBORO GIRLS BASKETBALL COMPETITION CAMP

• For girls entering 3rd through 9th grade 
• June 4th - June 6th / 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM
• SHS Gyms
• Cost is $90 
  • 10% off - When signing up for multiple girls basketball camps 
  • 20% off - When signing up siblings for the same girls basketball camps
• Directed by the Springboro Girls' Basketball Staff and Players
• This camp is focused on competition, competition, and more competition. Players will have the chance to compete for prizes in all kinds of exciting challenges and brackets will be everywhere. Think March Madness in the summer! Some competitions include 1 on 1, 3 on 3, 5 on 5, 3 pt. shooting, free throws, knockout, 5 on 5, buzzer beaters, and much more. Campers will receive a Springboro Basketball T-shirt and prizes will be awarded to the contest winners and MVP. We will also spend time discussing how to win and lose with class and how to effectively manage defeat/adversity. This has been our most popular camp in the past!

The Springboro Football coaching staff will hold its annual Camp of Champions. Students entering grades 1st through 6th are welcome to attend. The camp will be staffed by Coach Wilhite, the varsity football coaching staff and the Springboro Varsity football players.

Campers will receive instruction in the fundamentals of football on offense, defense, and the kicking game. All campers will have an opportunity to try all position. There will be contests, competitions, and daily awards given. Also, each camper will receive an official camp t-shirt on the final day of camp.

The Junior High Camp is in its 2nd year. It will be strategically planned to give the camper a glimpse into the culture and pace of a Junior High and High School practice. Campers will learn drills and concepts that are used in our basketball program. Campers will also work on their skills in a variety of ways. We will have daily competitions that may include: celtic drill, Top 18, free throws, hot shots, 1 vs. 1, 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3 and 5 vs. 5 games.

Campers will receive a camp T-shirt.

Bring a water bottle/drink.

Camp will be conducted by Head Boys’ Basketball Coach Brain Bales and the boys’ basketball staff.

• For girls entering 3rd through 7th grade 
• June 9th - June 11th / 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM

• Cost is $90

• Directed by the Springboro Girls' Basketball Staff and Players
• Players will be grouped according to age and ability 
• Focus on the fundamentals, offensive + defensive skill-based camps. There will be some fun competitions, but the main part of this camp is on developing skills that will help the athlete build a solid foundation of skills. Campers will leave camp knowing important drills that they can do on their own to improve their games.

• For girls entering 3rd through 8th grade 
• June 12th - June 13th / 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM

• Directed by the Springboro Girls' Basketball Staff and Players
• Players will be grouped according to age and ability 
• The focus of this camp will be on developing the proper mechanics of shooting and also on learning about the behaviors we want to develop within the core values of our program--Grit, Energy, Toughness, Unified, Prepared. Shooting focus will be on proper footwork, elbow placement, release, follow through, eye placement, and how to build confidence through daily, intentional drill work. Players will also learn essential shooting drills to become a knock-down shooter. The behaviors of success we will discuss as part of the Get-Up portion of the camp are the same ones we use with our HS players--> relentless effort, positive energy, getting positive touches, maintaining positive body language through adversity, choosing extra work and encouraging teammates.

Each camper should bring a bat, glove, water bottle, cleats, and tennis shoes/turf shoes.

Also the staff will introduce the campers to the core values of the Springboro Boys Basketball program. The most important aspect of the camp is that we introduce all of this in a fun caring environment.

Campers will receive a camp basketball for attending the camp.

Grades - 7th-9th

Jr. High / Freshmen Football Camp is for all players entering grades
7, 8 and 9. The camp will be staffed by the varsity football coaching staff, along
with the 7 th , 8 th and 9 th grade coaches.
All players will work on an offensive and defensive position. They will do drills
focusing on the fundamentals of those positions.
The varsity staff will also assist in installing base offensive and defensive plays and
sets.
Each camper will receive a camp T-Shirt.
**Pre-registration is encouraged.
